Bill is Co-founder and Managing Director of Azendian Solutions. The firm focus on organization transformation through information management and analytics. At Azendian, Bill is bringing his experience and learnings from his years of experience in organization transformation, information technology and the management and use of data to transition organisations towards the information and knowledge driven age.
He is an industry veteran with 26 years of experience in the consultancy and IT industries. Bill has over 12 years’ experience in the information management and analytics fields. He is a sought after speaker who is able to translate complex analytics concept into board room language where technical objectives meet profit and loss expectations. Bill works with senior management and the board room in numerous analytics projects to provide advice and counsel on data and information related investments. He is able to translate business objectives into analytics and technical requirements, working with organizations to realise opportunities in revenue enhancement, resource optimization and risk management.
Bill started his career with Hewlett Packard as a Process and Order Analyst. From there he moved on to Arthur Anderson Business Consulting, Bearing Point Consulting, SAS and Ernst & Young Advisory. At these organizations, his held lead responsibilities in roles ranging from head of ASEAN Finance & Operations, Business Process Re-engineering, Change management, and Head Publics sector practice.
At SAS, Bill was the country manager responsible for its professional services, sales and accounts management operations in Singapore. He was also the lead for SAS’ emerging markets businesses in Asia. Under his leadership, SAS became the largest supplier of Advanced Analytics Solutions in Singapore. Bill was also responsible for SAS’ regional account program which included accounts like DBS Bank, Citi Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
At Ernst & Young Advisory (“E&Y”), Bill was the Partner in charge of the Information Management and Analytics practices for their ASEAN practices. He was responsible for building E&Y’s ASEAN capabilities in these areas. Under his leadership, E&Y build a major presence in the markets for these practices and delivered a number of analytics projects which were the 1st in ASEAN. The practices he build became known for its depth of capabilities and ability to deliver highly complex analytics and information management solutions.
Bill sits on the advisory boards of School of Information Science (Singapore Management University and Temasek Polytechnic) and School of Business Administration (University of Nottingham). He also sits on the advisory board of Financial IT Academy at the Singapore Management University.
