Azendean – Cherry

It was at times a zoo at Cherry Yeung’s home. At one time, she had 2 dogs, 2 cats and 10 rabbits.Not surprising when she grew up with pets of all kinds including hamsters, tortoises, chicks and white mice.

Today, her cats, Hijo and Mijo, are her stress busters who often succeed to melt her heart with their clear blue eyes. From taking care of them, Cherry has learned patience and unconditional love. Another thing Cherry has learnt from her feline friends is to always maintain a well-groomed appearance, which explains Cherry’s elegance and grace.

Azendean – Koh

36 cities. 16 countries. 12 years of overseas assignments. GM for Estate, Koh Liak Huat, has even worked near warzones when ISIS attacks were experienced at the border of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and through natural disasters such as cyclones in India. But for Koh, the most memorable journey was onboard a rig which had to be towed all the way to Labuan.

Koh shared,”I have been fortunate to have experienced different cultures and I have made friends of different nationalities. I have worked through electronics hardware to industrial automation, programming and now Operation Technology and Information Technology as well as witnessed changes from Industry 2.0 to Industry 4.0. I have found that the best way to stay relevant and cope with the fast pace of change is to have a positive mindset and to be excited about work.”

Azendian – Christmas Colours

After an almost 3-year hiatus, Azendeans finally came together over Christmas. It was fun games and food galore at a quaint shophouse, away from the office. Bill shared his thoughts on 2023 casting fresh challenges to Azendeans.

Azendian – Appreciating our interns

Interns are a valuable resource at Azendian. On 22 July 2022, Bill and some managers held a sharing session for interns over tea and refreshments. The interns provided practical and positive feedback to help Azendian improve the internship programme.

Azendian – Packing in good

As part of CSR, Azendeans had packed 129 bags of food items at Food from the Heart for distribution to needy families. It was a meaningful event to give back to society as well as a fun team bonding session.

Fresh out of lesser COVID restrictions then, Azendeans enjoyed a bowling good time to reconnect with each other.
