Azendian clinches ASEAN Energy Award for AI-driven Smart building technology
Azendian Solutions (Azendian) was presented with the ASEAN Energy Award as Winner of the Energy Efficient Building – Special Submission – Cutting Edge Technology by Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling in a ceremony held in Bali, Indonesia on 25 August 2023 in conjunction with the 41st ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting and ASEAN Energy Business Forum 2023. Headquartered in Singapore, Azendian is an AI, Data Science and Operations Technology company that equips asset owners and businesses to achieve sustainability, ESG and productivity goals.
“What we do matters to accelerate a lower carbon, more sustainable Built Environment and we are gratified that the efforts of a small Singapore-grown enterprise have been recognized by the ASEAN Energy Committee. We are excited that Azendian’s AI solution is lauded as game changing in its approach, methodology and integration of Machine Learning data driven techniques with Operations Technology engineering systems, which has proven to be a powerful combination.
“Buildings are critical components of Smart Cities, but they also consume the most energy. The Azendian Estate Energy Optimisation Solution taps the power of AI and Machine Learning to ensure the building’s HVAC system is operating at the most efficient and optimized conditions, resulting not only in significant energy and cost savings for buildings and organisations, but also reduces CO2 emissions, achieving their financial, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals,” shared Mr Bill Lee, Azendian’s Founder and CEO.
The ASEAN Energy Awards is Southeast Asia’s highest accolade to recognise a greater private sector participation and interest in energy development and usage in ASEAN in partnership with the public sector. The Awards aim to promote awareness on best practices in the energy sector and encourage the private sector in clean energy transition, resilience, and sustainability technology.
The Azendian Estate HVAC Energy Optimisation Solution together with its Computerised Maintenance Management System, Fault & False Detection & Predictive Maintenance and Unified Platform solutions are uniquely positioned to support businesses in ASEAN towards achieving their energy and sustainability goals. In Singapore, the solution will help businesses to align with the Mandatory Energy Improvement regime kicking in at the end of 2024, and the Singapore Green Building Masterplan 2030. The Azendian smart estate solution is the first and only certified under Singapore Green Building Product’s Smart EMS System, helping asset operators achieve the Green Mark certification.
The process and system digital twin in Azendian’s solution works in a closed-loop, fully automated approach. It requires zero to minimal human intervention, releasing the human operator for more productive work while removing human error. It is also brand agnostic allowing building managers and asset owners to achieve significant energy savings and productivity gains with minimal additional investments.
Azendian’s solutions have been developed for businesses that operate large energy-consuming chiller plants, such as commercial buildings, hospitals, data centres and industrial facilities. To date, Azendian has collaborated with its customers and partners implementing its AI and data-driven solutions in 82 buildings and 7 district cooling plants at different stages.
