The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the management and support of all IT system development and delivery. The successful candidate will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of application systems projects as well as ensuring the IT systems, networks, and infrastructure are running efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
IT Software Development and Management:
- Manage and oversee end-to-end applications development activities.
- Lead in the design of full-stack development and maintenance of enterprise applications.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and developers, providing guidance and support throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to facilitate efficient software development and workflows.
- Work closely with internal teams and external teams to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Lead the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor IT performance and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and performance, directly impacting software development capabilities.
- Prepare, update, and maintain IT documentation in compliance with IT security policies and procedures and ensure that information security strategies are consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend security enhancements or upgrades to existing IT infrastructure, supporting secure software development environment.
- Manage IT operations, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with software development processes.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and availability of IT systems and data, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and timelines, ensuring alignment with software development goals.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and manage resources effectively to meet project milestones.
- Engage with internal technical and non-technical teams, stakeholders, external groups, suppliers, and other organizations, focusing on delivering value to both external and internal customers.
- Communicate project status updates and risks to stakeholders.
- Conduct project post-mortems to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned, fostering continuous improvement in software development processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record as an IT Manager or in a similar IT leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in application integration, software development and implementation.
- Experience in implementing AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions is a strong advantage.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar.
- Experience with Next.JS react framework for full stack development.
- Proficient in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of databases, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Background in IT or Information Security, covering areas such as network security, server security, application security, endpoint security, email security, physical access security, and logical access security.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including WAN, LAN, Internet, Voice & Video services, and structured cabling.
- Expertise in security operations and technologies, such as Imperva Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), firewalls, CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM), Anti-virus, Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), and Vulnerability Management.
- Hands-on experience with various platform technologies (Windows, Linux, VMware, MacOS).
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.
